Latitudes Restaurant and Placer County Wineries
To Feature “Spring Wine Tasting”
Auburn,
Calif. (April 24, 2008) – Placer Wine will be pouring at
Latitudes on Tuesday, May 20th from 6:30 – 8:30 to introduce
many new releases, award winners and some old favorites.
Latitudes located at 130 Maple St. in Auburn, will provide
mouth watering appetizers to accompany the wine from eleven
area wineries.
The wineries participating in this year’s event includes,
Baumbach Wines, Dono dal Cielo, Fawnridge, Green Family,
Lone Buffalo, Mt. Vernon, Ophir, Pescatore, Rancho Roble,
Secret Ravine, and Vina Castellano. The region’s wineries
are drawing visitors to the county from far and wide to
sample the ever popular fruit of the vine. Award winners
include 2006 Barbara, 2004 Estate Sangiovese, 2004 Syrah,
2005 Tempranillo, 2005 Chardonnay and more. All will be
available for tasting that evening. Try some wines that
reflect our western heritage, such as “Where the Buffalo
Roam” a Rhone style blend, or “Rattlesnake Red” a blend of
Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon, whatever your tastes you will
surely find something that will excite you. Wines will be
available for purchase at a special below retail price.
The walk around wine tasting is open to the public and
reservations are being accepted at Latitudes (530) 885-9535,
cost $25, at the door $30. Make your reservation early as
this is a popular event.
