Where Family, Passion, and Tradition Meet the Vine

Nestled in the heart of Loomis, California, Secret Ravine Vineyards is more than a winery — it’s a family legacy built on hard work, heart, and a deep respect for the land.

Since 1999, Secret Ravine has been producing handcrafted wines that capture the character and charm of the Sierra Foothills. Every bottle tells a story of community, sustainability, and the love that comes from generations working side by side.

Our vineyards are home to Italian varietals grown with care and respect for the environment. Each vine is cultivated using sustainable practices that honor both the soil and the people who tend it. From the first bud break to the final harvest, every step reflects our commitment to quality and authenticity.

Whether you’re a long-time local or visiting for the first time, we invite you to experience the spirit of Secret Ravine — where laughter fills the air, friendships are formed over shared glasses, and every visit feels like coming home.

Ron and Vicky Morris — Founders of Secret Ravine Vineyards

Ron and Vicky Morris brought their dream to life when they moved to Loomis in 1999 and began building Secret Ravine Vineyards from the ground up. After successful careers at Northrop Grumman — Vicky in Human Resources and Ron as a literal rocket scientist with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering — they traded city life for rolling hills, rich soil, and a new mission: to create a family legacy rooted in passion and purpose.

From the start, their dedication to detail was unmatched. Each vine was carefully planted, the land intentionally designed, and the result was a vineyard as thoughtful as it was beautiful. But their vision didn’t stop at their own property. Ron and Vicky helped found both the Placer Wine and Grape Association and the Placer County Vintners Association, encouraging others to pursue their winemaking dreams and helping shape the thriving Placer wine community that exists today.

Ron also taught Vineyard Establishment at Sierra College, passing his knowledge on to aspiring vintners and helping cultivate a culture of excellence that continues to grow across the region.
